Would you be interested in a free course on the Reformed confessions
taught by Rev. James Laning, a minister in the Protestant Reformed
Churches in America?
This course presents the doctrines of Scripture in an orderly and
systematic way, making use of the Reformed confessions (The Heidelberg
Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dordt). Throughout
the course we will spend the majority of our time examining the
Scriptures, so that you can see for yourself that what is taught in the
Reformed confessions truly is the teaching of Scripture. Two points
brought up repeatedly will be how the truth is comforting, and also how
the doctrines are related to our practical life.
Many people have heard of the term Reformed, but are unfamiliar with
what it means. In short, a Reformed believer is one who holds to the
doctrines taught in the Reformed confessions, believing them to be an
accurate summary of what Scripture teaches.
But what are the doctrines taught in the Reformed confessions? Many who
refer to themselves as Reformed are not very familiar with what the
Reformed creeds teach. There are others who have attended Presbyterian
churches who wonder how the Reformed confessions compare with the
Presbyterian creeds. Whatever your background or situation may be, you
are warmly invited to attend.
Each session will include approximately 30 minutes of instruction,
followed by a time for questions, discussion, and Christian fellowship.
